Intumescent Silicone Sealant B1FR (Grey) - 310ml

This one part intumescent silicone sealant swells when exposed to heat to prevent the passage of fire & smoke. Fire rated to BS476/EN1366 meaning the product offers up to 4 hours fire rating depending on joint configuration.

Accommodates movement up to 50%. Acoustic rated to BS EN ISO 140-3.

Applications:

• The same as the acrylic sealant above, but with the added advantages of a silicone product.
• Allows much greater movement so ideal for sealing around service penetrations.
• Greater durability.
• Can be used externally.

Features:

• Excellent adhesion on many materials.
• Permanently elastic after curing.
• Very easy to apply.
• Colourfast & UV resistant.
• Low modulus.
• Not paintable.

Installation:

• Install backer foam to required depth of sealant.
• Sealant depends on fire rating to be achieved. Depth is at least half joint width with a minimum of 6mm.
