Protecta Fire Resistant Batt Board 1200x600x50mm

These FR Batt Boards are designed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke through fire rated walls and floors where they have been penetrated by building services. The boards also maintain the acoustic performance in fire rated walls and floors.

They consist of a high density, stone wool core which is over-coated with FR Coating. This coating provides additional protection by significantly reducing the permeability of the stone wool core thus preventing passage of hot gases. This in turn also reduces temperature rise on the unexposed side and limits heat conduction through the building services.

Protecta FR Board must be used together with Protecta FR Acrylic for sealing around building services and the surrounding construction.
